This portrait is arguably the most evocative image of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II ever created. Wearing formal regalia, with the Diamond Diadem, a crown made for George IVâs Coronation in 1820, The Queen is depicted with her eyes closed: a rare moment of rest & tranquility for our Longest Reigning Monarch during a private sitting with the artist  Chris Levine in the Yellow Drawing Room at Buckingham Palace in 2004.
Equanimity
Commissioned in 2004 by the Jersey Heritage Trust to mark 800 years of allegiance to the Crown, this historic portrait depicts Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II wearing formal regalia , with the Diamond Diadem, a crown made for George IVâs Coronation in 1820. The portrait was hand coloured in 2022 to celebrate The Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
