Commemorating the 100th anniversary of the birth of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, this limited edition enamel box features the first coin minted bearing her portrait - a defining moment in British history, captured in enamel.

Issued in 1953 to mark her Coronation, the first coinage of Queen Elizabeth II features the original portrait by Mary Gillick - a youthful profile of the Queen, depicted without a crown and instead adorned with a classical laurel wreath. Symbolising renewal, continuity and the dawn of a new Elizabethan age, this elegant design introduced Her Late Majesty to the nation and would come to define the earliest chapter of her remarkable seventy-year reign.

Created with the kind permission of The Royal Mint, the design draws upon one of the nation’s most recognisable emblems, faithfully reinterpreted with exceptional craftsmanship and care.

Handcrafted in Wolverhampton in the heart of England, the design is rendered in deep royal purple with intricate coin detailing. Using traditional enamelling techniques, this enamel box is a refined tribute to a remarkable life and a piece to be treasured for generations to come.
