The flag of the United States, known as Old Glory, consists of thirteen horizontal red and white stripes and fifty white stars in a blue rectangle in the top left corner. White signifies purity and innocence. Red, hardiness and valour, and Blue, (the broad band above the stripes) signifies vigilance, perseverance and justice.
